Blending technical and design leadership to manage teams that make up the core of UX design at PlayStation. My team engineers custom tools and prototypes, creates and manages design systems, advocates for accessibility, and evolves the overall design process. An engineer managing a design team is strange, but I put that experience to use when collaborating with engineering and product teams.

  • My Design Technology team builds custom tools to support the design organization. These include Figma plugins, web-based tools, and no-code prototypes. I occasionally can’t resist getting into the code myself.
  • My Design Operations team governs processes for the UX group, including resourcing, reviews, and overall communication. This group also ensures that accessibility is part of the end-to-end design process.
  • My Design Systems team creates and evolves components, tokens, patterns, and documentation for multiple design systems, spanning game consoles, mobile apps, and B2B/B2C web experiences.
  • I continuously improve design’s collaboration with engineering, product, QE, and writing teams, primarily through adopting and extending Figma products.
  • I lead AI advocacy and adoption across the UX group, including exploring AI-assisted design tools and workflows.
